"The world is haphazard in modern and post modern era due to war, religious fundamentalist activities, pollution, global warming etc. Hence, these all are the subject of my picture."

My academic education was inspired by conventional western art. There was a trend to work with skill at that time in Calcutta Colleges, and I focused on transparent watercolor paintings for few years. Gradually in search of a genre of my own, I started with a line based style. Those sketches which I had done in rail station for hours after hours, started to appear in a different formation. Apart from human figures, I had started to make various animals figures in my own style. I gradually moved away from western modern to another signature style of my own. I wandered deeply rural society, as urban cities and the crowds exhausted me. Due to my urban life style my works are too as busy. In my current series I am attracted with folk art. The simplicity and the simple way of expression of folk make me comfortable. After pondering over world’s various folk arts, I realized that there is some strong similarity among them.
